American's eating behaviors continue to get worst, if we go back in time to the early 2000's, Americans daily average calorie per capita was in the low 2,000's and currently just shy of hitting three 3,000 per day. Milk consumption is being replaced by cheese, and added fats used to cook most of our food are growing instead of going down. Calories taken from rice, wheat, and corn are also going up, where as white breads are stripped from all the good nutrients in order to make them more affordable.
With this trend in mind, doctors at Mexico Surgery Center have decided to give back some of that generosity, "We understand the struggles of being obese and not being able to afford proper medical care, obesity becomes uncontrollable when most people don't have enough time to do groceries and cook their own food, when it's much more affordable to drive up and pick up an unhealthy burger and fries than it is to buy a healthy meal. Sometimes the only solution is bariatric surgery but it's just so expensive in the US that people just continue with their life's until other medical problems start to happen and then it becomes worst" said a spokesperson for Mexico Surgery Center, and so they will offer free weight loss surgeries to participants who meet all the requirements.
