Chivas vs Tijuana Xolos is scheduled for Sunday September 15 at 5:00PM local time (3:00PM pacific time) from the Estadio Omnilife in Guadalajara and will be part of Week 10 of the Liga Bancomer MX.
The outstanding home form from Xolos has been the key to why the border town team is close to that playoff zone. But playing outside of the Estadio Caliente has been a different story for the Xolos all season. They have lost all road games in the current Apertura 2013 season and will be looking for their first win as a visitor.
Chivas have had a long and tiring season already and the season is just a little over halfway through. Owner Jorge Vergara has let go of the manager who started out the season Benjamín Galindo and brought in Juan Carlos Ortega. Vergara has also decided to take a more active role at the club than what he had been doing the previous season. Chivas will be under a huge amount of pressure by their recent results and now under the watchful eye of their owner.
Xolos comes into this game following a big 3-0 win at home over Veracruz last Saturday night, while Chivas comes into this game after dropping a three goal lead in a matter of minutes to Tigres to end in a 3-3 draw.
The last time these two clubs met was in the final regular season game of last season where the #Xolos took a 4-0 win at the Estadio Caliente. The last time they faced each other at the Omnilife the Tijuana side also took the win by a score of 0-2 back in the Apertura 2012 season; season that Xolos lifted the championship trophy.
