Before the new year arrives, the maximum temperature for the San Diego and Tijuana region will stay under the 60-degree mark, which means time to take out that umbrella and big winter jackets from the closet.

The U.S. National Weather Service (NWS), forecasts a 60 to 70% chance of rain around 5 pm this evening until tomorrow morning with mild rainfall.

Dry conditions are expected from Tuesday to Thursday, as well as a small and gradual rise in temperature, but even with this, the days will continue to be cold and frosty at night.

We’ll also be receiving a mostly sunny new year with warmer temperatures, with a high near 65 degrees and a minimum of 50 degrees.
