A man and a woman who were going to cross into the US were arrested by agents of the Municipal Police in possession of high-power weapons and 50 boxes of controlled medications.

In the northern zone of Tijuana, municipal officers stopped the passengers of a Chevrolet Equinox truck after they broke traffic laws. They were identified as 33-year-old Onésimo "N" and 21-year-old Maryam "N".

When they approached the car and inspected it inside, the officers found a rifle weapon loaded with a disc magazine with 46 useful cartridges, a submachine gun loaded with 22 useful cartridges, and a bag with 50 bottles of medications with 4,500 pills of alprazolam.

Due to this, the two individuals were arrested; they confessed that they wanted to smuggle the medicine into the United States.
