The Norwegian Breakaway ship departed New Orleans on November 28 and was scheduled to return this weekend, but officials have reported that the ship is suffering from a Covid-19 epidemic.

According to the Louisiana Department of Health, ten persons have tested positive for coronavirus on Norwegian Breakaway; however, it is unclear if the symptoms are severe or moderate.

The ship made stops in Belize, Honduras, and Mexico; however, the authorities' statement does not specify which towns in these nations the ship's crew visited.

On the other hand, as new cases and persons exposed to a virus are being detected, the cruise ship has been executing the required quarantine and isolation protocols.

Similarly, they have stated that before the ship arrives in New Orleans to leave, all passengers would be screened to determine if they have been infected with the virus, with those who test negative being allowed to return home.

On the other hand, people who test positive will be secluded and will remain at a location designated by the cruise firm.
