I recently noticed a bunch of pictures on my social media streams of delicious looking BBQ ribs, that had me dying to try some out. The photos were taken at a place called El Ahumador, and I finally got my shot a couple of weeks ago when I was driving around the Zona Rio and was starving. Right there, smack dab in the center of the gastronomic center, I found this small BBQ rib joint.

A perfect combination. Ribs, French Fries, and Craft House Beer.

The place is completely unassuming and instead lets its food speak for itself. It does fine job of it too. I hadn't found a place that served perfectly cooked ribs in quite a while, not burned but well done, with a perfect dose of BBQ Sauce Texan style.

In addition to the great food options, which include hamburgers and other food combos, I was even more surprised by their house craft beer, Cerveza Lagos. Crafted by one of the co-owners, it is a refreshing IPA that pairs perfectly with the ribs.
