The Baja Best Fest will be taking place this coming August 2nd, and will bring together the best this region has to offer, in an effort to continue to position Baja as a culturally rich region.

In a recent press conference held at the Tijuana Tourism and Convention Committee's headquarters, director Arturo Gutierrez and the co-organizer of the event, Ana Ericka Santana, announced that the event will take place at the Baja California Center convention center in Rosarito, and anticipates a turnout of 1,500 people.



They also indicated that the event will offer the best this region has to offer in cuisine and wine, and sampling of regional items like craft cheese, craft beer, art expos, dance programs, and musical guests ranging from jazz, and classical music, to pop, electronic music, and more.



The best chefs in the state, many whom have international recognition, will be cooking there most emblematic meals. There will also be painting expositions and short film presentations of like El Americano y Papalótl, which was shown at the Cannes Film Festival.

Ericka Santana indicated that this will be the first edition of the "Baja Best Fest",which is why they will also be hosting experts from each field to discuss topics such as wine, coffee, sustainable fishing, and craft beer. Around 84 presenters will be at the event, along with 15 restaurants, 12 craft beer breweries, 10 wineries. All proceeds of the event will be destined toward the Integral Family Development organization (DIF).

Arturo Sanchez stated that this event will combine the best the state has to offer in terms of cuisine and tourism offerings from the state of Baja, and will attract many Mexican nationals and residents of Southern California.
