Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito led the graduation ceremony for preschool, elementary, and middle school students in a heartfelt event held at the El Morro Rural Community School, where children and teenagers celebrated the conclusion of another academic year.
During the event, the mayor reaffirmed her dedication to education in remote areas, emphasizing that this school represents a key project for her administration. During her campaign, she pledged to gradually build dignified spaces so more children can study close to home.

Thanks to collaborative efforts among municipal authorities, classrooms and school restrooms have been constructed, benefiting students. Additionally, Mayor Adame of Rosarito announced that efforts will continue to further strengthen this educational institution.
“This school is proof that with willpower and collaboration, we can create real change in our communities. Many parents cannot take their children to schools in the downtown area every day, which is why improving this facility remains our government’s priority,” the mayor said.

For the 2024-2025 school year, six preschoolers, three elementary students, and one middle school graduate were celebrated, accompanied by family members, teachers, and their graduation sponsors.
The ceremony also featured artistic performances, and awards were presented to the graduating students as well as to the sponsors who have supported the development of this rural school.

Located in a geographically isolated area away from downtown, the El Morro Rural Community School stands as an example of how collaboration between government, the community, and educational authorities can transform realities and open opportunities for Rosarito’s children.
