Mexican wines stood out this year at the renowned Bacchus International Wine Competition in its 2021 edition, held in Spain.

According to Forbes, more than 80 judges, made up of the most influential opinion leaders, tasted one thousand 700 wine samples from around the world, recognizing the country's wines for their excellent execution.

Among the 37 Mexican wine labels that received awards, Chateu Camou, located in the Guadalupe Valley in Ensenada, Baja California, stood out as the only Mexican winery to win the most important awards: Best White Wine Bacchus 2021 and Best Wine Bacchus 2021, as it received a score of more than 90 points on a scale of 0 to 100.

This winery also won the Best Mexican Wine Bacchus 2021 award.

And although Mexican wines from other wine regions also brought recognition in the categories of Great Gold Bacchus, Gold Bacchus and Silver Bacchus, most of them went to Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California, with a total of 25.
