
In today's speech to the nation, François Hollande, called the attacks against the Jewish supermarket as anti-Semite he also confirmed the death of four hostages, as well as the death of two of the brothers involved in the attacks against the weekly satire paper Charlie Hedbo on Wednesday.

"We need to show our determination against anything that divides us. We need to stay strong against racism and Antisemitism. Unity is our best weapon" affirmed the French President.
It is unknown if the invitation for the march was also extended for United States President, Barack Obama, or other country leaders outside Europe.

However, Obama did make some statements regarding today's attacks, saying that "in the streets of Paris, the world has once again seen what terrorist represent. They don't have anything to offer but hate and human suffering."
"We represent, freedom, hope, and dignity of all human kind and that is what the city of Paris represents to the world", added Obama.
