TIJUANA.- After a few weeks of the two earthquakes registered with the epicenter in La Mesa District; researchers from the CICESE are analyzing the possibility of the fault line below causing a major earthquake.
According to the Director of Civil Protection, Antonio Rosquillas, for the moment is being analyzed if it is a new fault line or if it was "asleep". But at the same time he points out the Tijuana's residents must be prepared for large telluric movements that could be catastrophic because there are many houses located at risk zones.
"…We have to know more by researchers, what it is about, what potential it has to generate an earthquake of greater magnitude and it would have to work more" ,he said.
Since this, Civil Protection has issued some recommendations in case of an earthquake; this talks have been taken to different places for a better diffusion.
