Around 14:00 hours there was a strong explosion in the San Pablito fireworks market in Tultepec, State of Mexico, which left at least 70 injured and 9 dead, according to the Federal Police of Mexico.

Luis Felipe Puente, coordinator of Civil Protection, reported the incident and asked citizens not to go more than five kilometers near the area to allow authorities do their job.

The explosives began to detonate generating a great column of smoke that arrived towns at eight kilometers from incident place. So far, the reason for the explosion is unknown.
