Expo Mueble Baja California 2026 is set to make its highly anticipated return from July 31 through August 2, transforming the Baja California Center into a vibrant epicenter of innovation and design.
This year’s edition will bring together over 80 exhibitors, feature compelling keynote presentations, host specialized pavilions, and serve as the stage for the grand finale of the university design competition, “Furniture Design Without Borders.”
Beyond its celebration of creativity, the expo stands as a vital economic engine for the region. Irán Leonardo Verdugo, Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism for Playas de Rosarito, underscored the industry’s profound local impact:
“This event not only draws visitors and tourists but also opens new doors for Rosarito’s furniture and manufacturing sectors. In fact, nearly 42% of employment in the municipality is tied to manufacturing activities, including woodworking and metal fabrication.”
Echoing that sentiment, councilor Alan Isaí Plascencia highlighted the expo’s growing international stature, pointing out that it continues to cement Rosarito’s reputation as a city celebrated for the craftsmanship and talent of its local artisans.
This year’s installment will feature guest participation from several Mexican states, including Chiapas, Puebla, Oaxaca, Mexico City, the State of Mexico, and Jalisco, each presenting standout pieces from their regional furniture and handicraft traditions.
In addition to being a fully pet-friendly environment with free admission, the event will host the “Huellatón” initiative, a charitable drive in partnership with the brand Berun. Attendees can receive a specialty pet mattress (25×25 cm) in exchange for a donation of five kilograms of dog or cat food, while supplies last.
