Yesterday Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook had reached 1 billion users. He added that more than half of the users were logging on with their mobile devices, in which part of the company's vision for the future is to improve the mobile version of Facebook as much as possible with all of the applications that are available.

Then he simultaneously presented the first ever Facebook commercial as part of the celebration, the video was titled "The thing that connects us all".

This came as great news to Facebook after months of the company's struggle in the stock market, which is not going as planned and even had critics doubting if Zuckerberg was still the person whom should be continuing to lead this company.

Zuckerberg himself put all doubts to rest, during an interview with Matt Lauer in "The Today Show".

In a message on the official Facebook account of Zuckerberg, in his status he said, "Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life".
