Latino films will take center stage on Wednesdays in September at the Otay Ranch Town Center to mark Hispanic heritage month.
All the Spanish-language movies will be presented for free during in the fourth annual "Que viva el cine latino" festival, which is presented by the Media Arts Center San Diego. Each spring, the organization sponsors the annual San Diego Latino Film Festival.
The movies will be screened Sept. 7, 14, 21 and 28 at the Food Pavilion. In addition, there will be live entertainment from local groups, starting at 6:30 p.m., with the movie screening at 7:30 p.m.
The groups include Todo Mundo, Juan Briano and his Brothers, Ballet Folklorico Nayarit and Israel Maldonado Duet.
The movies to be shown are "From Prada to Nada" on Sept. 7, "Regresa" on Sep. 14, "El Estudiante" on Sept. 21, and "Even the Rain" on Sep. 28.
