TIJUANA – The six goals Fidel Martinez has so far in the season with the Tijuana Xolos is really outstanding considering he is not a center striker. But Martinez explained today that he loves to score goals and that is why he finds himself inside the box a lot.

"With every game you gain confidence and feel better. I'm not the center striker, I play in the wide positions, but I like to come into the area and look for the assist or goal. As long it is in the team's best interest. I happy to be able to contribute to the team and grow as an individual." said Fidel in press conference following the team's Tuesday morning training session.

One of the only true friends that Colombian Duvier Riascos might have in Mexico is the Xolos winger Fidel Martinez who today defended Riascos' tweets over the weekend.

The Pachuca striker took to Twitter and harshly insulted does who insult him for his bad run of form. He also took the time to answer individual replies further insulting those individuals.

"I just found out about that not too long ago" said Martinez "social networks can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your form. He is a good guy, sometimes he lets the anger get the best of him, but I wish the best of luck and hope he scores plenty of goals. He made some big history here."

And if Martinez's goals are something to watch; his celebrations are a show in itself. From breakdancing steps, to hugging the security guard like he did on his last goal in Guadalajara against Chivas. One would think these are carefully planned out, but this is what Martinez had to say about the subject.

"First of all I concentrate on the match, the goals are spontaneous, goals are like true love and you have to enjoy them. The other day the press guy's laptop was just there here at home, and in Guadalajara the security guy was there; but the important thing is that the team is benefited by the goals." Concluded Martinez.
