New Year's is one of the most anticipated events of the year for many people around the world, and therefore there are plenty of rituals and options you can do on this special day.

Here are some things you can do to celebrate this thousand year tradition:

1.Dinner with Family

It's an ideal time to spend it with our loved ones and have a nice meal. Staying at home gives us the opportunity to cook, spend some quality time and bond.

2.Romantic Date with your significant other

For many, the best way to celebrate this day is to spend it with the person they love, he or she who was there for you through good and bad times.

There are millions of possibilities to have an unforgettable night. It could be a quick trip to somewhere close; and if money is a bit tight, you can always have an outdoor dinner, with the idea being to get creative and find the best way to express your love.

3.Party at a Club/Bar

For many young people, the best way to welcome the year is by dancing and making new friends and having a drink at a night club. And, you don't necessarily need to be young per say, so many adults also are accustomed to going out to restaurants or public places that day. This way, you don't have to clean before and after the party, although sometimes it's a bit more expensive and places get crowded.

If you do plan on doing this, plan ahead.

4.Camping with Friends

Traveling to a peaceful place away from all the fireworks and city noises would be incredible. Option spans from: the beach, forest, mountains and why not? even a paradise island. Ideal for those nature lovers.

5.Making a Special Ritual

It could be making a wish list, eating twelve grapes, wearing yellow or red underwear to bring good fortune and love, or whatever it is you do.

They may work or not, the idea it to have a good time.
