U.S. authorities have arrested Salvador Suazo García, a former pastor from Mexico who had been illegally residing in San Diego while wanted in his home country for crimes against a minor.
According to the Chief Patrol Agent of the San Diego Sector, Suazo García had been evading justice by living in the county after his visa expired. His arrest was made possible through a coordinated effort involving the exchange of crucial information with Mexican law enforcement, allowing Border Patrol agents to successfully locate and detain him.
Officials stated that Suazo García is wanted in Mexico for the sexual assault of a minor.


“This collaborative effort underscores our unwavering commitment to bringing dangerous individuals to justice and protecting communities on both sides of the border. Suazo García has been expelled from the United States and handed over to Mexican authorities to face justice for his heinous crimes.”
The Chief Patrol Agent’s office reiterated its dedication to securing the border and ensuring that individuals who attempt to evade accountability are held responsible. Authorities also urged individuals to seek legal pathways when entering the United States.
