Former Tijuana Mayor Claims Current Mayor Gets Orders from Casino Kingpin Billionaire Hank Rhon

TIJUANA – Astiazarán gets orders from Grupo Caliente’s president and former Tijuana mayor, Jorge Hank Rhon, according to also former Tijuana mayor, Carlos Bustamante Anchondo.



The accusations were made at a press conference where Bustamante assured current Tijuana mayor Jorge Astiazarán, who has allegedly been taking steps to protect the business interests of Hank Rhon and create a hostile environment to its casino competitors.

It’s a direct accusation that came after Bustamante’s casino was closed down back in November of last year by the city’s Interior Ministry due to shady business practices. It’s still not operating even though Bustamante claims to have all of the permits and operational fees in order.
