The government of Mexicali continues to strengthen primary healthcare in rural communities through municipal medical dispensaries, demonstrating a strong commitment to ensuring the right to health and reaching those who need medical attention most. These facilities are located in Benito Juárez, Ciudad Guadalupe Victoria (Km. 43), and Ejido Monterrey (Estación Batáquez).

This initiative is part of a broader health and social agenda led by Mayor Norma Bustamante, who has prioritized free, direct healthcare for the municipality’s most vulnerable residents.

Claudia Lorenia Beltrán González, Chief Official of the Mexicali government, emphasized that these facilities represent a sensitive and community-focused public health policy.

“We are working to make healthcare a right, not a privilege. These dispensaries are a direct response to our people’s needs, and we will continue working to ensure no Mexicali resident goes without care,” she stated.

These services reaffirm the Mexicali government’s commitment to providing dignified, free, and accessible healthcare across the municipality.

The dispensaries offer walk-in medical care Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Patients only need to present an official ID to receive assistance.

Services include:

  • Prevention and timely diagnosis of illnesses.
  • Blood pressure and glucose testing.
  • Nutritional monitoring.
  • Referrals for specialized care.
