From Monday, February 16th, through Sunday, February 22nd, the Tijuana-San Diego area is forecast to experience wet conditions and a sharp drop in temperatures, according to multiple meteorological agencies.
The beginning of the week will see the most intense precipitation. Forecasts from Meteored indicate that Monday will bring a 90% chance of rain, accompanied by gusty winds reaching up to 63 km/h. Temperatures are expected to peak at 18°C (64°F) and drop to a low of 11°C (52°F). These conditions will persist into Tuesday, with another 90% chance of rain, winds of 20-44km/h, and temperatures hovering between a high of 17°C (63°F) and a low of 12°C (54°F).
By Wednesday, February 18th, the chance of rain diminishes and the maximum temperature is forecast to be just 15°C (59°F), with a minimum of 11°C (52°F). Winds will remain a factor, blowing at 26-56 km/h.
The latter half of the week, from Thursday, February 19th, through Sunday, February 22nd, is expected to be dry. However, overnight lows are predicted to plummet to 8°C (46°F). Daytime highs will range only between 16°C and 18°C (61-64°F).
The National Weather Service has issued several advisories for parts of California, including a Winter Storm Warning, a High Surf Advisory, a Winter Storm Watch, a Flood Watch, and a High Wind Watch.
