It will be this Friday April 27 at 6 o'clock when "Looking South" (Mirando al Sur) starts, a cultural and gastronomic exhibition in honor of Tijuana and Guadalupe Valley at the Mingei International Museum.

This event it's been organized with the collaboration of the Municipal Institute of Arts and Culture in Tijuana (IMAC), the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California and the Consulate of Mexico in San Diego. It's also a parallel event with the visit of the exposition "Mingei-The Beauty of Use" at Tijuana's Cultural Center (CECUT).

Until July 22, Tijuana will have over 500 articles of the collection of the Mingei International Museum, some are antiques and others contemporary and they emphasized human creativity of distinct cultures of the world.

The general idea of both events is to create a cultural exchange between both cities.

The program of this Friday will feature the food of Chef Miguel Angel Guerrero, wines from Monte Xanic, Cetto, La Lomita and beer from Cervecería Tijuana.

It will also host an exhibition of ancient postcards from Tijuana, the work of artists as Alejandro Martínez Peña and María Evangelina Rodríguez, artisan work and live music by Bostitch+Fussible of Nortec Collective.

The entrance to the event has a cost of 15 dollars for general public and 10 dollars for members of the museum. The exhibition will be open from 6pm to 9pm.
