The “JOBEC 2025-2” Scholarship Program will provide financial aid of 2,000 pesos to high school students and 2,500 pesos to those pursuing higher education and it is open to young people between the ages of 14 and 29.

Registration for this program will open on August 27 for high school and university students—whether from public or private institutions—to apply for financial support to continue their studies. Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda emphasized its importance as part of a comprehensive strategy reinforced by federal programs such as the Rita Cetina Scholarships and the creation of the Rosario Castellanos University in Tijuana, aimed at expanding educational opportunities in Baja California.

“From the Baja California government, we have launched programs and support initiatives that allow our youth to continue studying and preparing themselves. The JOBEC scholarships add to these efforts so that no young person has to drop out due to lack of resources,” the governor said.

Governor Marina del Pilar stated that the aid will be 2,000 pesos for high school students and 2,500 pesos for university students, delivered in a single payment to approved beneficiaries. She noted that in the first 2025 edition of the JOBEC Scholarships, over 3,400 grants were awarded across the state, with an investment exceeding 7 million pesos.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Juventud BC, Francisco Molina, explained that the application process includes simple registration and document submission across different municipalities to facilitate access for interested students, regardless of their place of residence.

Applicants must be between 14 and 29 years old, enrolled in high school or a public or private university, and provide their CURP, a copy of an official ID (or birth certificate and parent/guardian ID if underage), proof of enrollment, and a parent/guardian authorization letter using the form provided by the Institute.
