In the wake of the military operation that killed Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, better known as “El Mencho,” leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar has announced a significant reinforcement of security across the state.
The governor reported that following the news of Oseguera’s death, vehicles were set ablaze on various highway stretches within the state. In response, she has activated the State Security Cabinet, which is now in permanent session and coordinating immediate capture operations.

Through her official social media channels, the governor stated that she has instructed state forces to bolster surveillance and security measures throughout Baja California, working in close coordination with federal and municipal authorities.
