Baja California ranked fourth nationwide in foreign direct investment (FDI), attracting a total of $1.8 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2025, Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila announced.

The figure reflects an economic strategy focused on competitiveness and strengthening confidence in the state as a driver of economic development and social well-being.

The governor noted that placing within the national top five for foreign investment is a key sign of the stability and opportunities the state offers to global markets.

“Here, investment doesn’t just arrive. It turns into jobs, innovation, and growth. Our strategic location, the talent of our people, and the strength of our industry keep international companies investing in our state,” she said.

Ávila said the results are possible thanks to the talent of Baja California’s workforce and the region’s logistics infrastructure, which connects the state to some of the world’s most demanding markets.

Within the framework of President Claudia Sheinbaum’s strategy to strengthen the national economy, the governor reaffirmed her commitment to continuing to attract global projects that bring improved working conditions and technological development to the region.

“Working alongside the federal government, we are promoting strategic projects that drive our development. Baja California continues to grow, attract investment, and generate opportunities, showing that Mexico’s future is also being built along the northern border,” she added.

The governor said her administration will continue promoting Baja California as a strategic destination for investment, with the goal of ensuring economic growth translates into tangible benefits for local families.
