Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda led the progress presentation of the Sassi del Valle project, a tourist and residential community that is part of the Reinos de México concept. This represents a new paradigm of sustainable development, territorial identity, and public-private collaboration in the state, with the goal of strengthening the region’s destinations.

“Sassi del Valle embodies the fusion of cultures, an architectural blend that will spur a circular economy for the sustainable development of this town and neighboring communities. Sassi del Valle is being built with our hopes and dreams, through the combined will and efforts of all of you, with the heart of a people about to write the best chapter of our history,” she stated.

The announcement by authorities coincided with Tianguis Turístico in Baja California, which achieved historic results as the first edition held on the northern border with a binational focus. Additionally, it broke a Guinness World Record for attendance on one of its days.

The project spans eight hectares within an environment of over 900 hectares of olive groves and includes commercial, tourist, cultural, and residential spaces inspired by the region’s mission architecture and Mediterranean aesthetics. Its artisanal and sustainable construction is designed to blend into the landscape while preserving the agricultural essence of Valle de Guadalupe.

Ensenada Mayor Claudia Agatón emphasized that the project represents a model of meaningful investment, development that respects the environment, and harmony with the valley’s identity. She claimed that Sassi del Valle is becoming part of the region’s history with sensitivity and long-term vision.

Meanwhile, the state’s Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, noted that such developments position Baja California as a state that promotes tourism projects with responsibility and high cultural value. He highlighted that Sassi del Valle arrives at a key moment to showcase what the state can offer Mexico and the world.

From the private industry, Adolfo Blanca, President of Reinos de México, acknowledged the support of authorities and the collective effort that made the growth of this second “kingdom” in Mexico possible, driven by a vision uniting art, architecture, community, and sustainability.

Finally, the governor stressed that with Sassi del Valle, Baja California reaffirms its leadership as an innovative tourist destination with high-level infrastructure and a clear commitment to balancing development, culture, and the environment.
