Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda’s administration, in coordination with the National Housing Commission (Conavi), has once again invited citizens to register for the federal “Vivienda del Bienestar” (Well-Being Housing) program, led by President Claudia Sheinbaum. This program seeks to guarantee the right to a decent home for social disadvantaged and vulnerable families.

The governor emphasized that this effort is part of the national housing policy that prioritizes female who are heads of families, seniors, indigenous people, and people with disabilities, i.e., sectors historically excluded from formal housing.

“Housing means security, roots, and well-being for our families; that’s why we invite the population to take advantage of this open registration on these final days,” Governor Marina del Pilar said.

In Baja California, the registration period closes this Saturday, August 23rd and will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • In Mexicali, two stations have been set up: Centro de Desarrollo Humano Integral Santorales in Colonia Santa Isabel, and Centro de Desarrollo Humano Integral Benito Juárez in Ejido Tecolotes.
  • In Playas de Rosarito, registration is taking place at Escuela Secundaria #125 Forjadores de Rosarito, in Fraccionamiento Real de Rosarito.

To register, one must appear in person at the appropriate station with a valid official photo ID, CURP, and proof of address no older than three months. It is not possible to register through representatives or proxies, according to information from Conavi.

During the process, a Diagnostic Survey will be applied, and upon conclusion, a sheet number will be provided so each person can track their application.

Application assessments will be carried out within a maximum period of 20 business days. Subsequently, a preliminary list of potential beneficiaries will be published on the official Conavi website (www.gob.mx/conavi). If selected, institution personnel will contact applicants via phone call, SMS, or WhatsApp to schedule a home visit.

Lastly, Governor Marina del Pilar said that, in addition to coordinating with the federal government, the State Housing Program will be offering other options in all municipalities via the sale of serviced lots and support programs for home improvements. As of the end of July 2025, 51,828 social housing actions have been completed, with a goal of reaching 100,000 actions by the end of the governor’s administration.
