The governor announced the installation of a drainage system in Huacatay and explained that efforts are being coordinated with the Playas de Rosarito City Hall and the Mexican government to make progress on housing regularization.

She also highlighted that, through the Secretariat of Wel-Being, all 21 social programs are being deployed with direct on-the-ground support.

Regarding education, she reported that the State Government is ensuring that children and teenagers enrolled in elementary and secondary school receive the Rita Cetina scholarship. If they do not, they are assisted in obtaining it.

Additionally, guidance is provided to young people about to enter high school to facilitate access to the Benito Juárez scholarship.

Residents expressed gratitude for the governor’s presence. Pedro Villegas Flores, a Huacatay resident for over 20 years, said it was the first time a governor had visited the community and that he was proud Governor Marina del Pilar listened to and assisted them personally.

Later, in Villas de Siboney, the governor held a community meeting where proposals were received and questions were answered in direct dialogue with residents.

“Transformation is not built with good intentions, but with concrete actions,” the governor stated.

The meeting also highlighted the social progress in Baja California, such as the Violet Card for single mothers, scholarships for people with disabilities, and the “Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento” (Full Belly, Happy Heart) hot meal program in public elementary schools.

Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Rosarito thanked the governor for these community engagements, noting that they allow for faster and more direct responses to residents’ needs.
