Following policies of wellbeing and safety in Baja California, Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, alongside authorities of the three levels of government, led the Fair for Peace and Voluntary Disarmament where units to assist and distribute aid for the community were installed.

The state governor stressed that her government has achieved significant results as Baja California is a state with higher economic growth, job creation, and development. In addition, more than 20 wellbeing programs to benefit the most vulnerable people in the state have been implemented.

We are going to continue to move forward. We have public works, infrastructure, and wellbeing programs and jobs. We are one of the states with the highest salaries in Mexico and all of this is thanks to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and with president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum, we will continue on this path.

As part of the Fair for Peace and Voluntary Disarmament, federal authorities cooperated to provide economic aid to people who, voluntarily, gave up their firearms, cartridges, and other types of weapons. Assistance units from the three levels of government were also installed.

If you know anyone who has a weapon, tell them that they can bring it in. We don't want weapons in the hands of Baja Californian families that could harm our society.

Peace is built between everyone, which is why we celebrate this Fair for Peace and Voluntary Disarmament with help from the federal government and the government of Mexicali.

To participate in this voluntary disarmament, one can go to CEART Mexicali from 8 AM to 4 PM this weekend and obtain economic aid for each weapon submitted.
