Craft beer in Baja California has taken an impressive upturn, strengthening a powerful niche in a market that is accustomed to commercial beers. Little by little, the state has transformed into the craft beer capital and people from all over Mexico and the world look to Tijuana and wish to taste the creations of many local brewers, this being the reason that many young entrepreneurs are daring to embark on an adventure into this world, which is the case of "Paralelo 28"a new microbrewery who opens its doors tonight.
"Paralelo 28" is the first of many microbreweries and tasting rooms that will open their doors in La Plaza Fiesta in 2015, creating one of the most important meeting points for craft beer lovers, which means there is no other option than to go and taste the (strongly influenced by German beer) creations of "Paralelo 28's" brewer, Emmanuel Cota, who spearheads this magnificent project.
