Mexican director and scriptwriter, Guillermo del Toro, won the Oscar for Best Animated Film for his version of Pinocchio. The Mexican director thanked his deceased parents, wife, children, and Netflix. He stated that animation is cinema and that it is very important that it keeps being talked about by big production companies. This is Guillermo’s third Oscar.
