"Today Tijuana has 295 active cases, if I am from Rosarito and I have 31 active cases, and I say: well then I am going to go to Tijuana. Is it indispensable for you to go to the city of Tijuana if you are from Rosarito?", he commented.
According to the report of the head of this agency, from yesterday to today 147 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the state, of which 57 belong to Tijuana, 34 to Mexicali, 28 to Ensenada, 16 to San Quintin, seven to Tecate and five to Rosarito.
It is worth mentioning that the last seven deaths that were registered correspond to two on August 4, three on August 6 and two on August 9. With these figures, Baja California has accumulated 53 thousand 730 COVID-19 infections and 8 thousand 859 deaths.

Currently Tijuana is the municipality where the virus is being transmitted the fastest, with an Effective Reproduction Rate of 1.41, while in Ensenada it is 1.32, in Mexicali 1.09, in Tecate 1.07, in Rosarito 0.99, in San Quintin 0.75 and in San Felipe 0.41.
