The government of Playas de Rosarito, led by Mayor Rocío Adame, has launched the June 2025 Cultural Calendar through the Municipal Institute of Art and Culture (IMAC). Organized under the direction of IMAC Director María Isabel Peredo Quezada, the events aim to bring art and culture to communities across town in celebration of Rosarito’s 30th anniversary as a municipality.
June 2025 Cultural Calendar Highlights:
June 22: The festivities kicked off with HidratArte: Music for the Kilometer, a lively open-air concert at the hydration station of the 2025 Powerade Rosarito Half Marathon. The event featured performances by local bands Pachuco Blues and N32.
June 25: The Closing Ceremony of the Community Art Workshops will be held at Salón Ejido Mazatlán, where 50 children will present their work in guitar, storytelling, sculpture, theater, dance, and drawing.
June 26 at 5:00 p.m.: The Rosarito Beach Hotel Salon will host a presentation of Yumanos, a book by journalist and photographer José Enrique García Sánchez that explores the region’s indigenous communities and ancient rock art.

June 27 – August 22: The photography exhibition Vaqueros by Roberto Córdova Leyva will be on display at the IMAC Gallery in the Puerto Nuevo Museum.
June 30 – July 4: The documentary exhibit Voces del Pasado (Voices of the Past) will take place on the City Hall terrace, featuring historical materials from the IMAC Archive.
June 23 & 30: As part of the Movies in Your Neighborhood series, family-friendly films will be screened at Primaria Estatal Ayuntamiento and the Morelos Library.
Through these events, Rosarito City Hall reaffirms its commitment to cultural development as a foundation for community well-being. The program fosters local identity, strengthens the social fabric, and creates inclusive spaces for artistic expression for children, youth, and families throughout the municipality.
