The crisp scent of apple pie and the golden hues of autumn are once again calling visitors to the mountains, as the beloved Julian Farm and Orchard reopens its gates for the season, offering families a classic fall escape centered around its iconic pumpkin patches and pick-your-own strawberry fields.

An Autumn Experience in Julian

Nestled in the heart of the mountains, Julian Farm and Orchard opens its gates this weekend with activities designed for the whole family. From wandering through rows of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes to filling your basket with fresh strawberries picked right from the field, the farm promises an ideal getaway to celebrate the season.

The farm is open Friday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with free parking available in its main and overflow lots on the weekends through October 26th.

While tickets can be purchased at the gate, officials strongly recommend buying admission and activity packages online to ensure a swift entry. Families should note that all visitors under 16 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Family Friendly Activities

Beyond the fields, the farm has curated a range of activities designed to entertain all ages. Highlights include live cider pressing demonstrations held hourly starting at 11:30 a.m. For those seeking more adventure, attractions like axe throwing, rock climbing, the bell ringer, and the apple cannon provide thrills, all operated under strict safety guidelines.

U-Pick: Seasonal Strawberries and Pumpkins

The U-Pick program will be available on-site only and is subject to availability. Strawberry picking is sold by volume and includes tools and a container at the time of purchase.

Pumpkins, one of the main autumn attractions in Julian, are sold by size and variety. The farm notes that the quantity of pumpkins freshly cut from the vine is limited, so it’s best to arrive early.

Julian Farm and Orchard is part of the Harvest Fest 2025, which brings families and tourists together around the region’s autumn traditions each year. With cider, pumpkins, strawberries, and Julian’s cozy atmosphere, this experience is one of the season’s must-do activities.
