With winter snow already blanketing California’s mountains, a number of the state’s top ski resorts are rolling out a special deal for the younger crowd.

The California Resorts That Will Let Kids Ski for Free
Through Alterra Mountain Company’s “Kids Ski Free Week,” children under the age of 12 can ski at no cost at participating resorts from December 6 through December 12. Participating Californian resorts include:

Each resort may also offer additional promotions or family discounts alongside the Kids Ski Free Week initiative.
“The snow is already falling in the high country and we are excited to once again inspire families to get on the slopes this season with Kids Ski Free Week throughout Alterra mountain destinations,” said Jared Smith, President & CEO, Alterra Mountain Company. “With free lift tickets and other added discounts, families can take advantage of the early season and start a lifelong spark for a love of the mountains.”
People interested are advised to visit the official website of their chosen resort for full details on how to secure the free lift passes. The promotion provides one free daily lift ticket per eligible child for the duration of the week, with no additional purchase necessary. However, the offer covers lift access only; equipment rentals and ski lessons are not included.
