SAN DIEGO, CA.- Week 13 in Liga MX is now in the books, only four games remain and the race for the playoffs is heating up.

Chivas kicked off Week 13 with a loss to Jaguares of Chiapas 3-2, this is Chivas' second straight loss and it has them sitting in 13th place of the league with 16 points, still only two points out of the playoff zone.

Club America continued their struggles at home. After not being able to defeat bottom of the table San Luis in Week 11 they were once again unable to get through a weak opposition. This time a 1-1 draw to Puebla saw the Mexican giants get booed out of their own stadium.

Cruz Azul continued its bad form, but still managed to walk away with three important points in the race for the playoffs. Cruz Azul managed a come from behind 2-1 win over Queretaro who now seem doomed to be relegated.

Tigres remain undefeated through 13 games; this time with an unimpressive 0-0 draw at home to a weak Leon squad.

Pumas managed an impressive 2-1 road win over Pachuca. Both teams started off the season slow, but now look poised to go through to the playoffs.

Tomás Boy and his surprising Atlas team took on his ex team Morelia; who is lead by Ruben Omar Romano who use to coach Atlas. A double ex battle in the Estadio Jalisco that ended up 0-0. Morelia remains in playoff zone but by very little, Atlas remains in second place of the league practically through already.

A desperate Xolos team played host to a cool, calm, and collected Santos. Xolos are winless in their last five games but still are barely holding on to the last playoff spot. Santos sits comfortably in forth place. The game ended in a 0-0 draw in spite of all of the Xolos pressure on the Santos goal. Both teams will be in action midweek representing Mexico in international competitions.

Toluca rescued an important 1-0 win at home against Monterrey. Toluca is already eliminated from the Copa Libertadores in spite of the fact that there is still one game to go. Monterrey rested several key players with their minds set on the CONCACAF Champion's League semifinal return leg against Los Angeles Galaxy. With these three points Toluca keeps themselves in the hunt for a playoff spot.

San Luis got yet another huge three points by beating Atlante 1-0. San Luis is now nine points clear of Queretaro in the relegation race and two points clear of Atlante. With the loss Atlante are now second to last in the relegation race only seven points above Queretaro.
