TIJUANA. – Sandra Elena Salazar Rios, 47, is now facing charges for assaulting her husband, Miguel Antonio Olmeda Aguirre, 48, who was caught by his wife in a "compromising" conversation with a friend through Facebook.
The incident took place around 6:30 pm yesterday in the couple's home located in the community of Valle San Pedro, La Mesa delegation in Tijuana.
Olmeda said that his wife was outraged to discover that through Facebook he was talking with another man, and that without asking him any questions regarding the matter, she began to hit him with punches to the face, which he ended up with a cut on his upper lip and a bruise on his left eye.
Miguel Antonio told officers of the Domestic Violence Unit, who answered to this complaint from the 066 emergency number, that this is not the first time that his wife physical and verbally abuses him, but now he decided to present his complaint to authorities because the attacks are becoming more frequent.
The above incident is only one of the five domestic violence cases that the Municipal Police attended to in the past 24 hours, which culminated with the arrest of those who assaulted their partner.
