Eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao has signed a landmark deal with the Team Boxing League (TBL), positioning himself as an ambassador, team owner, and active fighter within the innovative league.
Pacquiao will first appear at select TBL events throughout 2026 as a league ambassador before formally assuming his leadership role with the TJ’s.

Under the terms of the new agreement, he will also return to the ring and compete as an active boxer for the TJ’s starting in 2027, with a contract spanning two years.
“I believe in the vision of TBL and what this league is building for the future of boxing,” Pacquiao said. “Team boxing brings a new level of excitement, strategy, and opportunity for fighters and fans. I’m proud to be part of TBL and look forward to contributing both inside and outside the ring.”

The league announcement followed closely on the heels of Pacquiao launching his own promotional company, Manny Pacquiao Promotions, in the United States. The launch event was held at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California.
“Manny Pacquiao is one of the most respected champions in the history of boxing, and his decision to join TBL is a defining moment for our league,” said Kevin Cassidy, the league’s CEO.

What is the Team Boxing League?
First announced in 2022, the Team Boxing League is the United States’ first professional boxing league built on a team franchise model.
Its unique format features matches comprising 24 three-minute rounds, with each team member fighting in a single-round bout.
Fights are categorized into weight classes of 126, 135, 147, 154, 160, 168, 175, 199 and 205 lbs. for men, and 118, 126 and 140 lbs. for women.
