Animal abuse is currently penalized by Baja Californian authorities with penalties for culprits of 1 to 5 years in prison and 200 to 400 days of minimum wage. Though it is illegal to abuse animals, this hasn't stopped people from continue doing it.

March against animal abuse will take place in Tijuana



A group of people who are against animal abuse and abandoning cats and dogs in the city and state will march on Saturday, March 23 in the streets of Tijuana.

According to the flyer shared on social media, it is explained that the march will begin at 9 AM on Saturday near Calimax Plus Zona Río facilities; once everyone assembles there, they will march towards the Municipal Palace to express their requests.

Among the information shared, people are being invited to attend with their rescued cat or dog and if one doesn't have a rescued animal, they can bring their pet to the march.

In addition, attendants can bring signs and banners to share messages against animal abuse.
