Last week about 425 pounds of marijuana were seized that were inside of some piñatas.
These were detected by the nose of a police dog, when 24-year-old Juan Marcelo Armstrong tried to introduce them into the U.S. through the border that links Mexico with Arizona.
Armstrong was not the one who filled these piñatas with these goodies, but he alone was responsible for getting them across the border by trying to hide them between several empty piñatas, which were no match for the sense of smell of these trained police dogs.
Armstrong told the "Phoenix New Times" that he was paid $ 3,000 for smuggling these goods, but this turned out to be a very expensive pay day because now he faces charges of possession of an illegal substances and the intent to distribute.
This is a very unusual and unique case, but it's not the strangest one, and everyday smugglers look for new ways to transport their merchandise aside from their traditional "mules", which are people whom all have no idea of what they are transporting until they get caught, like what happened in this case.
Who knows what new "innovations" these smugglers will come up with tomorrow, but whatever it is don't be surprised, and just how these criminals come up with new ideas, border patrol agents are very up to date to these types of new tactics.
Remember, freedom is something that is valued the most by all human beings from all over the world.
You can't buy it, and it's not worth the risk to lose it at any price.
