The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, held a meeting with 500 neighbors of the state’s most populous neighborhoods in order to strengthen actions of the “Bienestar” program all across the land.

The governor was welcomed by women and men representing several different neighborhoods from the seven municipalities of Baja California, who told her their proposals and concerns, so as to strengthen the coordination to improve the quality of life of all people.

“Baja California is a very big state and we want help to reach everywhere. We are budgeting efforts so that aid deliveries keep reaching more places,” Marina del Pilar stated.

Marina del Pilar reiterated the importance of applying the values of the Fourth Transformation promoted by the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, especially when working for those who need it the most and who were ignored for years by previous governments.

For his part, the Secretary of Welfare of Baja California, Netzahualcóyotl Jáuregui Santillán, highlighted the increases in aid deliveries given to women heads of family, people with disabilities, and seniors, as well as the program of hot breakfasts in schools.

In addition, in coordination with the government of Mexico, the governor went to the facilities of the Committee of Banco del Bienestar in the city of Tijuana, where aid deliveries to seniors were given, essential to improving their quality of life.
