
In her message during the event, the governor of Baja California congratulated the people present for participating on this publication that will allow local, national, and international tourists to take advantage of the gastronomic tourism offer of Mexico and Baja California.

The state governor recognized the diversity and thoroughness of the people who created this guide, which shows the gastronomic proposals of several different states in the country, especially Baja Californian municipalities, each one with its own personality.
She explained that Baja Californian gastronomy shows the soul of the state and reflects the cultural diversity and different climates that make up the state, which is a venue to multiple cultural and gastronomic influences from other states and nations.

She gave as an example ancestral traditions such as fishing and shell gathering practiced by the native people of Baja California, as well as the relevant influence of Chinese, Italian, and Spanish cultures. In the state, several different techniques and ingredients mix in order to create world-class Baja Californian gastronomy.

At this meeting the following people were present: Secretary of Economy and Innovation, Kurt Ignacio Honold Morales, national CANIRAC (National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry) president, Germán González Bernal, among special guests.
