As part of an operation carried out by Mexican Marine forces in search of Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, they searched different houses in Culiacán, Sinaloa, an area where the capo might be hiding.

The Marine forces searched the Chapultepec neighborhood area in armored vehicles, where the wife of Miguel Ángel Guzmán Loera, aka "El Mudo", brother of the Sinaloa Cartel leader, has a house. "El Mudo" was detained back in 2005 and is currently jailed at CEFERESO 13, in the sate of Oaxaca.

Mexican authorities have intensified their actions since El Chapo's last prison escape. Authorities have confirmed that he was wounded due to gunshots on his leg and face.

Two videos from the Tamazula operation where recently released by the AFP agency where two burnt vehicles and houses with high caliber gun marks can be seen. The locals claim that military forces where shooting from helicopters that where flying over the place. The area has been deserted due to fear from the Marine forces aggressive measures.
