Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana has signed a collaboration agreement with Escuela Normal Fronteriza de Tijuana (ENFT), which will help to promote actions and programs that contribute to the professional development of future teachers.

At the event, the mayor emphasized the importance of the Tijuana City Hall having a municipal education system—something unique in Mexico—with elementary, secondary and high school levels. This system will benefit from the agreement established with ENFT by coordinating efforts to train upstanding citizens.

Mayor Ismael Burgueño of Tijuana and the Director of Escuela Normal Fronteriza, Claudia Ortiz Macías, signed the strategic alliance, which will allow them to jointly promote educational projects and primarily support the professional practices required by future teachers in all areas of education.

The signing of this agreement was witnessed by Municipal Ombudswoman, Teresita Balderas Beltrán; the Municipal Secretary of Public Education, Miguel Nuño García; the Academic Coordinator of the Municipal Secretariat of Public Education (SEPM), Angélica Aguilera Orozco; the president of the ENFT Student Society, Lucero Rodríguez Chávez; as well as students and teachers from the institution.
