Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana introduced Wendy Ontiveros González, the new Secretary of Well-Being for Tijuana’s 25th City Gall to the Sánchez Taboada Delegation community. Ontiveros González recently assumed leadership of the municipal department.

The presentation took place during the 31st Well-Being Initiative Event, held this Saturday in the delegation as part of the City Hall’s commitment to bringing services and support closer to communities, with special attention to vulnerable populations.
The mayor shared with citizens various social initiatives his administration is promoting to improve families’ quality of life, such as the ‘Tijuana: Clean City’ program. In this delegation alone, over 43,000 people have benefited from improved surroundings, including dignified, clean, and safe spaces.
Burgueño Ruiz also announced upcoming efforts, including the implementation of ‘Safe Pathways’, a program promoted by Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo aimed at creating secure spaces through enhanced lighting and infrastructure improvements.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed Secretary of Well-Being, Wendy Ontiveros, thanked the mayor for his trust and reaffirmed her firm commitment to working with conviction and responsibility for the well-being of Tijuana residents.
“We will strengthen the social fabric and encourage citizen participation. Remember, the doors of the Secretariat will always be open to all of you,” the municipal official said.
During the event, Mayor Burgueño of Tiuana was accompanied by Sánchez Taboada Delegate Teresa García Bañuelos, councilmember Miguel Loza Ginuez, and Well-Being Director Beatriz Campos.

These efforts reflect the commitment of the City Hall led by Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana to maintain genuine closeness with the community, prioritizing collective well-being and strengthening ties between citizens and authorities through programs that positively impact the daily lives of Tijuana families.
