Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana inaugurated hydraulic concrete paving works on Calle CFE in the Lomas del Matamoros neighborhood. With an investment of $5 million pesos, the project will benefit more than 14,500 residents.
Before local residents, the mayor emphasized that these projects reaffirm the commitment to improving the city’s urban infrastructure to positively impact the quality of life for the area’s residents by enhancing accessibility and mobility for both pedestrians and vehicles.

The municipal president explained that the funding comes from the federal government as part of the budget of the Used Foreign Vehicle Regularization (Ramo 23) program.
Mayor Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana explained that two roads will be fixed: the first involves 2,256 square meters of hydraulic concrete pavement on CFE Street, between Cucapah Boulevard and Margaritas Street. The second will cover 464 square meters of Margaritas Street, between Bonanza Street and CFE Street in the Lomas del Matamoros neighborhood.

It is estimated that over 14,500 residents from neighborhoods such as Lomas de Matamoros, Granjas Familiares del Matamoros, and Jardín Dorado will benefit. Local residents thanked the mayor for finally addressing their long-standing requests after many years.

This event was attended by Councilor Magaly Ronquillo Palacios; Secretary of Territorial, Urban, and Environmental Development Virginia Vargas González; Secretary of Environmental Protection Fernanda Sandoval; Acting Head of the Delegation Coordination Office Adriana Barrera; as well as local residents and business owners.
