Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz signed a partnership agreement with Universidad Iberoamericana’s Tijuana campus, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to education.
The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration with higher education institutions, support the academic development of young people, and offer scholarships and tuition discounts for current municipal employees.

“Education is the foundation of everything. That’s why I want to reaffirm this government’s support for young people, so that through their professional growth, they can achieve their dreams and pursue their passions in life,” Burgueño Ruiz underscored.
The mayor added that this agreement seeks to strengthen social cohesion and create opportunities for the comprehensive development of youth, thereby fostering closer ties with the community.

He also emphasized City Hall’s dedication to maintaining safe and well-equipped facilities, ensuring students have access to essential services like street lighting and waste collection to support their success.
During the event, Ibero Tijuana Director Florentino Badial Hernández thanked Mayor Ismael Burgueño on behalf of the university for signing this agreement, which will directly benefit the students of this educational institution.
