Additionally, Mayor Norma Bustamante highlighted her administration’s key accomplishments in the eastern zone:

  • Rehabilitation of major roads including sections of Calzada Cuauhtémoc, Bulevar Lázaro Cárdenas, and the López Mateos traffic distributor, with an investment exceeding 67 million pesos.
  • Investment of over 16 million pesos in restoring sports facilities, notably the renovation of the Independencia Sports Complex.
  • Renovation of the Park and Soccer Field in Villas del Colorado with an investment of over 3.7 million pesos.

In a significant safety announcement, the mayor also revealed plans for new public lighting along Bulevar Lázaro Cárdenas, extending from Río Champotón to Rosa del Desierto. This installation is expected to substantially improve nighttime visibility and security for commuters.
