Mayor Norma Bustamante of Mexicali distributed 131 social aid packages to families through the Joining Efforts for Your Well-Being program, investing more than 530,000 pesos.
“Guided by President Claudia Sheinbaum’s leadership, supporting those in greatest need remains a top priority. That’s why City Hall is committed to promoting the well-being of Mexicali families through initiatives like this,” the mayor stated.
She explained that, on this occasion, the aid was distributed through the Municipal Social Well-Being, Citizen Services, and Economic Development agencies. Among the benefits, 35 families and entrepreneurs received financial support, 50 families were given construction materials to improve their homes, and 30 neighborhood committees received gardening kits.
Mayor Norma Bustamante of Mexicali also highlighted the delivery of 16 aid packages for individuals whose homes were unfortunately damaged in fires.
Laura Vaca, one of the beneficiaries of the construction materials program for fire-damaged homes, expressed her gratitude: “Thank you, Mayor Norma Bustamante, for this aid. With it, I can improve my home, and my children and I will have a better place to live.”
