Mayor Norma Bustamante of Mexicali carried out a community visit along the Reforma canal embankment as part of her administration’s pledge to assist families with property regularization.
Joined by local congresswoman Michel Sánchez and representatives from the National Institute for Sustainable Land Development (INSUS), Mayor Bustamante of Mexicali expressed her support for families in this area of the city. “We are committed to transforming every corner of our capital. That’s why we’re listening to the requests of residents living along the Reforma canal embankment,” she stated.

The mayor announced her administration will assist families with the property regularization process through coordination with the Mexicali Urban Development Trust (FIDUM), helping them obtain legal deeds to their land. Additionally, her team will work to bring essential utilities to the area.
Resident Sara Sandoval thanked the mayor’s attention to the community and willingness to listen to their needs.
